About

A marketing agency in two markets.

MKTG works across the UK and Australia with established businesses on four things: conversion, the technology underneath it, the measurement that proves it, and the tests that show what was actually caused.

Ten years with one client is the only credential that matters.

Agencies are usually judged on the logos they can show. We would rather be judged on how long the relationships last, because that is the only measure that cannot be bought with a pitch. Our longest-standing client has been with us for over a decade.

The discipline transfers between sectors. The assumptions never do, which is why the first thing we do on any engagement is read what is actually there rather than apply what worked somewhere else.

How we work

  • We resell nothing
  • We place no media
  • We take no vendor commission
  • Scoped work, never time by the hour
  • Documented handover on every engagement

How long things take

Tracking and consent audit
Five working days from the day read-only access is granted. Fixed scope, and the one piece of work here that is the same size for everyone.
Measurement and tracking build
Usually a matter of weeks rather than months, and scoped from what the audit or an equivalent read finds rather than agreed in advance of knowing.
Conversion programmes
Run in quarters, not sprints. A test needs enough traffic to reach significance, and that is a fact about your traffic rather than about how fast we work.
Marketing technology recovery
Scoped after we have read what was actually built against what was specified, because on a stalled implementation those are rarely the same thing.
Incrementality tests
Design and power analysis first, then a live test period set by the effect size you need to detect. The test length is an output of the maths, not a preference.

Everything except the audit is quoted against a written scope. You are never buying time by the hour, and no engagement here renews itself by default.

Where our people have worked

  • Procter & Gamble
  • Netflix
  • Hilton
  • Toshiba

Brands our people have worked inside during their careers, not MKTG clients. The one directly relevant to what we sell is the conversion work: leading CRO for Procter & Gamble's shaver division alongside Google's CRO special projects team.

We do not publish client results, because the ones worth quoting belong to businesses who have not been asked whether they want their numbers on a stranger's website. What we will do is put you in touch. Ask on the first email and we will arrange a call with a client working in the area you are asking about.

On references

A reference call is worth more than a case study anyway. A case study is written by the agency. A reference answers the question you actually want to ask, which is usually about what went wrong and how it was handled.
