Privacy notice

This site loads nothing from a third party and sets no cookies. That is not a privacy gesture, it is one of the things we do for clients, working on our own website.

Who we are

MKTG is the data controller for anything collected through this site. Contact: info@mktg-consulting.com.

We work across the United Kingdom and Australia. This notice is written to UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. If you are in Australia and want to know how the Australian Privacy Principles apply to your information, email us and we will tell you.

What this site collects on its own

Nothing. There is no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no embedded video, no map, no captcha and no third-party font. Every request this page makes goes to this domain, which you can confirm in your own browser's network panel in about ten seconds.

No cookies are set. There is no banner because there is nothing to consent to.

What happens when you email us

There is no form on this site. If you email us, we hold whatever you send: your name, your address, your company, and anything you write. There is no form provider, no CRM and no marketing list.

Our lawful basis is that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. If you do not go ahead, the basis becomes legitimate interests in keeping a record of enquiries.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work: 12 months, then deleted. Enquiries that become work: seven years from the end of the engagement, because that is what the tax rules require of business records. Suppression records, meaning "do not contact this address again", are kept indefinitely, because deleting one would defeat its purpose.

Who else processes it

By category rather than by name, so this stays accurate: the hosting provider that serves this site, and the email provider that holds our inbox. Both are contracted under UK GDPR Article 28 terms. Both operate internationally, so data may be transferred outside the UK under the International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent safeguards. Nobody else sees it and nothing is ever sold or shared for anyone's marketing.

When we work in your accounts

During an engagement we may hold access to your analytics, advertising or marketing systems. In that work we are your processor rather than a controller, under a separate Article 28 schedule in the engagement letter. Access is scoped to what the work needs, and our accounts are revoked when the work ends.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to the processing. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first, but you are not obliged to.
